Jutel invests in growth – Mr. Riku Niemelä returns as CEO to the company

Jutel is one of the leading suppliers of digital radio broadcast and radio automation software solutions in the world. Jutel drives now for vigorous growth by making use of its almost 30 years experience in global radio broadcasting business. The objective is to gain a firm foothold on the rapidly developing media control system and content distribution markets.

Mr. Jorma Kivelä, chairman of the board, says that the technological transformation from traditional audio technology towards IP audio networks and digital installed sound and media systems, has already begun. Mr. Kivelä states that it is important to play a key technology provider role in this transformation already in its early stages.

Jutel has recognized experience as an international growth company. For example, it received the Finnish Internationalization Award of the President of Finland ten years ago. Impressive customer references such as BBC, CBS Radio News, RTE (Irish National Broadcaster) and YLE (Finnish Broadcasting Company) tell the story of a strong position as one of the world leaders in broadcasting technology market.

Mr. Riku Niemelä, returning from his two years in Middle East, will navigate Jutel on this growth-oriented strategic path. “Riku Niemelä has substantial experience from growth and change processes in international technology companies”, praises Kivelä, who will continue as chairman of the board and Advisor on Technology and Business development.

Before re-joining Jutel, Mr. Niemelä was responsible for Finpro’s (the national trade, internationalization and investment development organization in Finland) Middle East operations for two years. "To lead Jutel to the new growth path is a challenge I immediately wanted to take. In Jutel, I see a strong commitment to process of change and also a clear vision of new business possibilities, not disgracing the development of the broadcasting industry market", he says.

Jutel, celebrating next year its 30th anniversary, does not fear new challenges. "We have opened new paths before and we definitely want to have a say in this market transformation", Kivelä finishes.

TECHNOLOGY 360 (Pty) Ltd appointed as Jutel's distributor in Southern Africa

Botswana based telecommunications, broadcast and electronics solution provider TECHNOLOGY 360 (Pty) Ltd has been appointed as Jutel's distributor in Southern Africa.

TECHNOLOGY 360 has strong experience in radio broadcasting industry. The managing director Mr. Geoffrey Ramotho has a Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Botswana. Since 2005 he has been employed as a Broadcast Engineer with the Department of Broadcasting Services. He is responsible for broadcast equipment and operations, electronic repairs, installation of broadcasting equipment and outside broadcast transmission. He has been using RadioMan solution at Radio Botswana since 2005 and was managing the RadioMan upgrade project to RadioMan Enterprise Edition in 2012"

“I have been working with Jutel Radioman system since 2005 at the state owned Radio Botswana (RB1 and RB2).

Radioman is a robust and scalable system with a user friendly GUI.The customer support services is quite good and Jutel has maintained Radio Botswana systems running 99% of the time.Modernizing radio stations in Southern Africa is an opportunity for Technology 360 to deploy Jutel radioman, and fully automate radio.
