The Romanian Radio Society (SRR) has selected Jutel together with business partner's IBM and Forte to implement a digital production environment.

26 Years of Sound to be Stored for Future Generations in Digital Archive

Bucharest, Romania, and Amsterdam at the IBC2004, 2004 - The Romanian Radio Society (SRR) has selected Jutel together with business partner's IBM and Forte to implement a digital production environment. At the same time our partner IBM will bring employees of SRR a state of the art working environment using the latest technology for collaborative working and SAP-based human resource management. SRR is Romania's national radio, serving an audience of 23 million. The new system from Jutel and Forte will enable SRR to improve customer experience and reach new listeners and guarantees 99.98 % up time – a specification so vital for broadcasters for whom air time is money. As well as introducing a totally digital production environment based on Jutel’s RadioMan content management system, Jutel and Forte will implement one of the largest sound archives in the world, integrating 26 years of sound broadcasting into the largest digital archive in Romania. The entire project is planned to be deployed without taking SRR off the air at any point for implementation. The new system will integrate SAP, linking the production environment with the back-end systems and Jutel's RadioMan will link to SAP to capture any copyright information.

Jutel and business partner IBM are providing SRR with a radio broadcasting solution with the ability to automate the broadcast of digital content over multiple channels, helping SRR to offer a variety of channels and music genres in a cost-effective way. With 20-years in radio broadcasting, Jutel has an in-depth understanding of the industry and it is a global leader in the development of innovative solutions for managing media assets and digital content.

The Jutel RadioMan product delivers a complete solution to broadcasters by providing a full range of broadcasting models and tools for any style of radio station and broadcaster. Jutel RadioMan also provides a broad array of ready-to-use tools for going beyond audio broadcast. Digital content can be created, scheduled, organised, archived and broadcast simultaneously to multiple media channels – radio, Internet and wireless. For broadcasters, this translates into increased productivity, the ability to offer a broader range and quality of services, and a new level of convenience for both the broadcaster and its customers.

The Jutel RadioMan product enables a total change in the workflow practices of a broadcaster. In the analogue world, the workflow is strictly sequential and provides no possibility of multiple, simultaneous access to audio data, the key to achieving the desired productivity enhancements.

After implementation at SRR headquarters, the solution will be deployed to the eight regional branches of SRR throughout Romania.
