The RadioMan Workgroup Edition installation with 80 client workstations will serve all four of Radio Belgrade’s channels. Before the end of the year the project will move on to Avid iNews integration as well as Internet services and RDS extensions. Radio Belgrade is the radio part of the public service broadcasting organization Radio-Televizija Srbije (RTS – Serbian Broadcasting CorporationRadio Belgrade is responsible for the production and airing of four radio programs of different formats aimed at various target audiences. Three out of these four programs have a nation-wide coverage, while the fourth is aimed at the young population of the capital, Belgrade. In addition Radio Belgrade is present at the RTS website with its streaming and interactive services. The installation is a content production, management and broadcasting solution designed for the demanding requirements of a broadcasting company operating multiple channels, serving several language groups and using a number of studios. IBM clustered servers and workstations help ensure the reliability of critical broadcasting operations. Digital archiving using RadioMan’s Archive manager and IBM’s Tivoli storage is also planned. Jutel’s local partner for integration services in the project is KompAni. A Belgrade based system which is responsible for installation of the system as well as later follow-up and technical support of the system operation.
